Bird: A Rest of Colors and Textures

Bird: A Rest of Colors and Textures

On this occasion, I wanted to pay tribute to the beauty of simplicity with my illustration "Bird". Using only ordinary wooden pencils, I have sought to capture the essence of this winged creature, its freedom and its connection with nature.

Choosing a wooden pencil

The choice of the wooden pencil was not accidental. This material, so accessible and everyday, allows me to explore a wide range of textures and tones. The warmth of the wood and the softness of the lead give me precise control over the creation of each feather, each eye and each shadow.

The composition

The composition of the work focuses on the bird in a state of rest. His gaze fixed on the horizon conveys a feeling of freedom and attention. The background, worked with soft and blurred lines, suggests an infinite sky full of possibilities.

The color palette

The color palette used in this illustration is soft and natural. Earth and green tones create a visual harmony that evokes nature. The contrast between the light and shadow areas enhances the three-dimensionality of the bird and gives it a realistic appearance.
